This week’s “Writing through the Year” journey takes us to the theme of “Simplifying.” I thought it would be a good opportunity to talk to my editor [Samantha] about how she clarifies and simplifies and “clears the clutter” from my writing. She’ll offer basic self-editing tips and suggestions for spring cleaning your manuscript.
Even though I edit manuscripts for other people, I always have someone else edit my books. Not only do good editors catch typos and continuity issues, but oftentimes they see something about books that writers themselves have missed.
